Welcome to my personal web page. I am Bart Matterne, an individual with extensive experience and expertise in the field of information technology. My journey began in the late 1990s when I embarked on my exploration of the computing world by using Slackware Linux as my first Linux distro, a choice that was both challenging and instructive. However, this early experience proved to be a valuable foundation upon which I built my knowledge.

Subsequently, after completing my studies, I had the privilege of working for a reputable distributor of SUN Microsystems and RedHat products. During my tenure there, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a wide array of technologies, including Solaris, SUN Enterprise Hardware, Red Hat, Equallogic, and more. This invaluable experience allowed me to gain comprehensive insights into these systems.

Following this period, I transitioned into consultancy work, with a primary focus on Solaris and Linux. Over the years, I honed my skills and provided expert guidance to clients in these domains.

Currently, I am employed as a Data Engineer at a prominent Security Firm, where I continue to apply my expertise to contribute to the company’s objectives.
